I have had some very good days shooting woodies using nothing more than a couple of bouncers with a dead bird on them. The first time I shot a 100+ bag using bouncers it was on standing wheat that had a wind blown patch in it. I set up two floaters and before I could set up the magnet or get the rest of the deecs set out I had woodies heading straight in. I didn’t build a hide but dropped down into a tramline and shot 118 woodies in an hour before running out of shells! I’m not saying it works like that all the time and I did go back to that same field the next morning and shot nothing but the bouncer makes a hell of a difference where you have any kind of standing crop and they do increase decoy visibility over a great distance. You see very few decoyers setting up without a couple of bouncers.
