Big Rivers Painted Lady Diamond Wood Mallard Duck Call
The Big Rivers Sweet Cherry is a good looking Double Reed Wooden Mallard Call with a brass band to prevent splitting. Unlike a lot of wooden calls the Painted Lady features an acrylic exhaust and this alleviates the problems of wooden components swelling with moisture and producing a variable tone. As acrylic is a hard dense material it helps to produce a tone over a wide range and one that reaches a higher pitch than traditional wooden calls - a higher pitch travels over greater distance and is therefore ideal for the foreshore. This is a double reed call and these have a greater tonal range than single reed calls and I find them easier to use. The brass band fitted to the call prevents wood splitting.
